Constructions
Cut Pile

Widely specified, this construction can be enriched by varying the pile height or yarn quality

Tip Shear

Creating the appearance of subtle texture and pattern, this construction is created by shearing certain parts of loop pile at random.

Loop Pile

This is created from uncut loops of yarn, which can be tighter or looser to give an interesting texture and subtle pattern.

Twisting Yarns

Strands of different fibres and colours can be twisted together to create varying textures and effects. This technique is ideal for when a high level of detail is needed.

Raised Pile

This construction creates a higher, raised surface that adds a three-dimensional texture to any design. Techniques such as carving and bevelling fall into this category.

Yarn Weight

The density of yarn within the rug can be increased or decreased according to the project requirements.
